McHenry County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC) feels it is essential to provide support and focus on manufacturing in McHenry County and we are pleased to continue our manufacturing initiatives.

In addition to special manufacturing events including forums with major companies like Boeing, the Glocal Manufacturing & Matchmaking event, MCEDC has significantly improved the website.  It has been improved to be a more detailed and searchable tool for manufacturers to expand their supply change, help increase marketing opportunities to raise the visibility of McHenry County’s manufacturing community.

Manufacturing is the driving force of primary jobs which are vital to sustain a regional economy.

Regional Industry Cluster Profiles

The Workforce Boards of Metropolitan Chicago and the Metro Economic Growth Alliance (MEGA) of Chicago of which McHenry County EDC is a founding member, worked together to develop key Industry Clusters reports that are significant to the Northeast Illinois economy. The Industry Clusters represent similar industries that are closely connected through supply chains and shared labor pools within the region. These reports help local employers identify resources and needs within the region.
