This interactive presentation will provide an interesting and engaging discussion of the advantages of obtaining patent protection for your products and innovations, when you may want to consider obtaining a trademark for your company or product name, and how to make the most of licensing your technology. The discussion will include highlights of legal issues surrounding obtaining patent protection, strategies of intellectual property licensing, typical contract issues surrounding the licensing of technology, and how to utilize these strategies in maximizing the value of your intellectual property.

Stephen Scherrer is the President of Scherrer Patent & Trademark Law, an intellectual property law firm that provides a wide array of intellectual property legal services to its clients. Keith Adams is the founder of FrontPoint Services, a firm that employs a systematic and comprehensive approach to IP commercialization. Keith is a results-oriented intellectual property management professional with over 15 years of experience in licensing sales, business development and intellectual property management, and capably coordinates all aspects of licensing, brand management, market analysis, budgeting, acquisition/divestiture, joint venture, joint development and commercialization, enforcement, and technology transfer functions.
