Compressed Air and How to Save $ with Optimization Compressed air is not free. In fact, it can be a costly utility due to the energy it consumes. Typically about 10-15% of the electricity consumed in a compressed air system gets to the point of use. With a few simple changes, you may be able to realize up to 30% savings. The January Waste to Profit meeting will focus on compressed air and ways to save money by optimizing your system. Mike Byrd from Air Services will discuss cost saving ideas, help you estimate potential savings and provide you with information about incentives from ComEd.
