The alluma™ firelog - New Product Development

A unique manufactured firelog made from 100 percent agricultural products has been born in the Midwest, where corn is king and ethanol plants are sprouting. The new, all-natural, alluma™ premium firelog is manufactured in America by Phezer Enterprises, Inc., Crystal Lake, IL. The alluma™ firelog is made with corn by-products and other agricultural ingredients. BAIC has collaborated with AgTech and Phezer Enterprises, Inc. in the commercialization of the Alluma™ Firelog.

Matchmaking Event 2007

In October we held "Speed Dating" event for Manufactures to develop new contacts for sales and purchasing. The event was a Solid Success with 35 companies participating. Attendees provided materials on their business and services to show off their "stuff".

Expanding Operations and Securing Investment Capital

BAIC has assisted a local manufacturer secure $1,000,000 in funding for capital equipment and raw materials to expand operations. Participating agencies include Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity, McHenry County Loan Fund, and Home State Bank.

Positioning of Sales and Marketing

Sequoia Automatic has been assisted by BIAC and SBDC to develop a Marketing and Sales strategies. Sequoia Automatic was also provided Marketing and Sales training.
